You will join our growing team as a key member on the tools, both mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen, in order to help build state-of-the-art projects for our clients.We are looking for lead hands on Vancouver Island!RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Lead Hand you will be responsible for:Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specificationsObserving functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation,



or replacementOverseeing and mentoring apprentices and Journeypersons in the field Drawing review and updates Safety Documentation creation and management (hazard assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations, near miss reporting, injury management in partnership with CSO)EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTSJourneyperson Electrician ticket required (Red Seal)Experience working on high rise and/or commercial new construction projectsGood knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirementsExcellent communication, computer skills, and time management skillsField Safety Representative ticket is an assetWORKING CONDITIONSWorking both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsTypical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines
