This locum role offers the opportunity to work across general medicine wards, including care of the elderly, cardiac, respiratory, emergency medicine, trauma, and a cardiothoracic critical care unit.The successful candidate will provide advanced assessment and treatment for dysphagia and communication disorders and must be confident working flexibly across other inpatient caseloads such as Acute Neurosciences, Critical Care, and Acute Stroke.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of acutely unwell patients across general medicine wardsDeliver specialist assessment and treatment for dysphagia and communication disordersSupport other inpatient services as needed with clinical supervisionProvide line management and qualified supervision to junior SLTsContribute to service development, audits,



and quality improvement initiativesMaintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional standardsHCPC registration (required)Advanced competencies in at least one of the following: – Tracheostomy care – Videofluoroscopy/Modified Barium Swallow (VFS/MBS) – Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) Experience in line management and clinical supervision Strong communication and clinical reasoning skillsKnowledge of quality improvement and service delivery projectsExperience in acute hospital settingsWhy Pulse?At Pulse, we put you first.
