ReportingtotheManagerofHumanResourcesServices,theprimaryfocusoftheHumanResourcesGeneralististoleadthefull-timerecruitmentprocessfortheCityofBrantford.TheHumanResourcesGeneralistisresponsiblefortherecruitmentandselectionprocessforunionizedandnon-unionizedpositions,frompostingpositionsthroughtoonboardingprocedures.TheHumanResourcesGeneralistprovidesguidanceandadvicetoclientgroupswithrespecttoemployeerelationsmatters.Inaddition,theHumanResourcesGeneralistworkscollaborativelywiththeHumanResourcesServicesTeam,toassisttheHumanResourcesBusinessPartnersbyassistingwithlabourandemployeerelationsresearch,andavarietyofdepartmentalprojectsandadministrativeduties.Applicantsmustbeavailabletooccasionallyworkeveningsandweekendstoconductinterviews.

Qualifications

Mustpossessaminimumofathree(3)yeardiplomaordegreeinarelatedfieldfromanaccreditedCollegeorUniversityprogram.

PreferablyholdsorworkingtowardsaCertifiedHumanResourcesProfessional(CHRP)designation.

Over2yearsofhumanresourcesexperience,preferablywithinaMunicipality,includingrecruitmentandselectionexperienceinaunionizedenvironmentrequired.

Mustbecommittedtoprofessionalismandteamwork;possessingacomprehensiveknowledgeofcontemporaryHRpracticesandlegislationwithastrongemphasisoncustomerservice.

MusthaveknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeSoftware.
