Job ID: 20053Benefits OfferingHealth & Dental BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany PensionCompetitive VacationRoom for advancement providedCompensationUnionized PositionSalary Range: $39.23Position SummaryReporting to the Foreman or Supervisor or designate, the Directional Drill operator performs a variety of tasks related to the operation of directional drill and construction equipment.Primary/Essential Responsibilities and DutiesConduct pre-trip/walk around safety inspections and complete necessary safety paperwork and documentation.Ability to operate all equipment functions independently and safelyAdhering to specific policies and regulationsAdhering to site specific rules and regulationsAbility to work with minimal supervisionMaintain excellent communication between members of the team and clientsWorking as a member of the team by assisting other members when required.Load and unload the directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage freeTransport associated tools, materials, and/or equipmentPrepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to bore shot commencingIn conjunction with locator, operate the direction drilling using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place ducts.Troubleshoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance and/or resolutionAble to operate drill or locator as required.All other duties assigned to meet Company objectives.Required Skills and QualificationsAZ License, with clean Driving Abstract, required.3+ Years of Directional Drilling Experience, preferred.Previous knowledge of Underground Utilities and LocatesAbility to read and comprehend construction drawingsAbility to work in a fast-paced high change environment while managing multiple interruptions and adjustments of priorities throughout the day.Experience with Ditch Witch JD10 Horizonal Bore Machines,
