Position SummaryAs a key member of the Materials team, this position is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to receiving, shipping, and point of use locations and KANBAN locations. This role manages internal parts movement within the plant and oversees two kitting operations to ensure timely and accurate material availability for production. It also supports continuous improvement of the department and its team through training and continual learning.What You Will DoSupervise Material department employees in day-to-day activitiesLead supply base improvements to support business goalsMaintain knowledge of materials and inform the department of new developments; ensure all departments affected by changes are notifiedAssist in development, communication, and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines, and tools to ensure success in all processesManage the Material department budget with indirect labour, overtime, materials, supplies, and communication devicesEnsure all ISO procedures and work instruction requirements are fulfilled by the teamDrive reduction of inventory adjustments by monitoring reason codesMonitor and reduce negatives to zero; monitor line entry schedule and part status prior to and during the build processPerform cell audits to ensure inventory accuracyPromote continuous improvement within the department through compliance, audits, and lean principlesPromote safety daily through communications and adherence to safety processes, procedures,



and rulesWhat You Need to Be SuccessfulPost-secondary education in Business Administration with a focus on leadershipAPICS-CPIM certification considered an assetMinimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on supervisionExperience working in a unionized environmentExceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills and problem-solving abilitiesOur WhyWe exist to move people.
