Be a part of the Chatham-Kent YMCA as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, where you will ensure safety and develop swimming skills among community members. This role requires a blend of vigilance and teaching.At the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, you will help create healthy communities by ensuring secure aquatic environments. In this role, the Lifeguard and Swim Instructor will hold significant responsibilities in managing swim classes and safeguarding participants during activities.



Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a commitment to inclusivity and safety.Key Responsibilities:Oversee swim lessons and recreational activities for safetyProvide instructions in swim techniques to all participantsAct as a responsive lifeguard during activitiesMaintain participant records and relay progress to guardiansAdhere strictly to YMCA guidelines at all timesRequirements:Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certificate necessaryCPR-C and Standard First Aid certifications requiredCurrent YMCA Swim Instructor certification is mandatoryPrevious experience in a related role is advantageousExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsEmpower individuals and promote water safety through dedicated service at the YMCA Chatham-Kent.
