of recent occupational experience.Clear understanding of Manufacturer's and Regulatory Documentation (CARS 566), including SRM, Service Bulletins, Engineering Drawings, etc.Comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, including OutlookExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to safety, mentorship, and lifelong learningPrevious teaching experience or related experience in the delivery of educational program or training adults would be an asset, but not required. you will:Deliver theoretical and hands on practical shop training along with classroom instructionShare real‐life industry knowledge and troubleshooting experienceMentor and support students entering the tradeHelp students build the skills employers are looking forPromote and ensure health and safety practices and procedures are consistently followed in classrooms, shops, and labsWork collaboratively with fellow instructors and industry partnersStay current with evolving technology and industry practicesParticipate in student advising, curriculum development, program promotion, committee work, and work placement supportYou may also coordinate the aviation hangar and lab operations by setting up/taking down and maintaining the organization of the hangar and labs and its materials, equipment, and inventoryThis role combines shop instruction with modern teaching tools and blended learning approaches, including in‐class, online, and off‐site instruction, as well as occasional evening and weekend sessions.As a condition of employment, you are required to provide proof of a valid AME licence, prior to your start date.As a condition of employment, Faculty at NSCC must complete a part‐time adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status, all probationary, full or part‐time Faculty of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full‐time Faculty whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.Candidates selected for interviews will be expected to provide at least three recent occupational references.
