Reporting to the Manager of Medicine, Owen Sound Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a stable and predictable outcome within the defined qualified scope of practice as set out by the CNO.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Ontario College of Nurses registration
Ability to work at full scope of practice
Coronary Care 1 Course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
2 years recent acute care nursing experience
Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills
Commitment to continuing education and career development
Participation in quality improvement initiatives on the unit
Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
