We offer a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with opportunities for professional growth, recognition, and advancement.Job descriptionWe currently have a full-time position available for a Trailer Mechanic at our Salisbury location.The Trailer Mechanic will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of large commercial trailers in a busy heavy-duty repair environment. This is a physically demanding position requiring heavy lifting, frequent bending, and working in tight spaces. The successful candidate will take pride in their work and be committed to safety, quality, and customer service.Responsibilities and requirements:Repair and replace trailer components, including brakes, body, bearings, suspension systems, and electrical systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical,



and air brake systems to identify faults and determine required repairsInspect and test trailer systems to locate faults and malfunctionsTest and adjust repaired systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standardsPerform scheduled maintenance and preventative serviceComplete work orders and reports accurately, documenting problems, repairs, and work performedReview work orders and communicate with Service Advisors regarding required repairs and work completedMaintain a clean, organized, and secure working environmentFollow all company health and safety proceduresQualifications:Previous experience as a trailer, truck, automotive, or heavy-duty mechanicPrevious commercial trailer or dealership experience is considered an assetStrong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skillsKnowledge of trailer brake, body, suspension, electrical, and air systemsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipValid driver's licenseCommitment to workplace safety and continuous learningSchedule:9-hour shiftMonday to FridayPossible overtimeBenefits:Competitive wageBoots, Tools, and Uniform allowancesRRSP Match ContributionMedical Group InsurancePaid Personal daysChild Care SubsidyOvertime pay*We are accepting only candidates legally authorized to work in Canada.We would like to thank all those who apply; however, only those selected for an interview will be notified.
