PASTRY CHEF — THE IVY TEAROOM & BAKERY The Ivy is a teahouse, bakery, and café built around elevated but approachable experiences from morning pastries and beautiful cakes to afternoon tea and thoughtfully crafted desserts.

We’re looking for a Pastry Chef to join our team and help shape where The Ivy goes next.

This isn’t simply a production role. You’ll work directly with ownership and have a real opportunity to influence our pastry program, develop current products, and help build the standards and systems behind it.

We’re looking for someone creative, driven, organized, and passionate about making great pastry someone who wants to build something, not just clock in.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Develop and execute our pastry, cake, and dessert program
Create seasonal pastries, desserts, and features
Produce cakes and desserts for in-house service and custom orders
Lead daily pastry production and maintain consistently high standards
Help develop recipes, systems, production schedules, and kitchen standards
Bring creativity and fresh ideas to the menu
Manage prep, production flow, and organization
Maintain a clean, qualified, and inspiring pastry kitchen
Assist with ordering, inventory, costing, and waste control
Work closely with ownership and the broader culinary team

Strong pastry experience, particularly with cakes, desserts, and pies
A creative eye and strong attention to detail
Pride in presentation, consistency, and craftsmanship
Someone who enjoys developing new ideas and building programs
Leadership qualities and the ability to set a positive standard for a team

A collaborative, professional approach
A genuine passion for pastry, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences
