OEM Remanufacturing is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to excel in maintaining Caterpillar mining equipment. This role offers a secure afternoon shift in a climate-controlled workshop environment.
As a critical member of the team, you will report to the Production Manager and handle the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of equipment from a variety of Caterpillar models. A strong background in mining machinery and the ability to conduct accurate inspections will be key in this position. Safety and quality are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct disassembly and assembly of equipment components
• Ensure all work is carried out safely in the shop
• Diagnose failures in collaboration with technical services
• Aim for cost-savings through reusability and salvage
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Must have HET or Millwright Journeyperson credentials
• Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment appreciated
• Skills in precision measurement and rigging
• Capability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
• Strict adherence to safety measures
