We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in concrete forming to oversee projects from pre‑construction through completion. Position Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for managing concrete forming projects, ensuring scope clarity, cost control, scheduling, and coordination with general contractors, consultants, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in concrete forming operations and understands the technical, logistical, and contractual aspects of subtrade work. Key Responsibilities Pre-Construction & Estimating SupportReview drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify complete project scope. Assist in preparing accurate take-off and cost estimates. Ensure all forming, shoring, layout, embeds, blockouts, and related scope items are accounted for. Identify exclusions, clarifications, and potential scope gaps prior to contract award. Participate in bid review meetings to confirm pricing completeness. Pre‑Site & Coordination MeetingsAttend and lead pre‑construction and site meetings. Clearly define scope of work and exclusions with the General Contractor. Review schedule requirements and sequencing. Identify potential conflicts with other trades (rebar, MEP, excavation, etc.). Confirm layout responsibilities, benchmarks, and gridlines. Project ExecutionOversee multiple forming projects simultaneously. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries. Monitor project schedule and productivity. Track changes, site instructions, and extra work.



Prepare and submit RFIs, change orders, and progress billings. Ensure compliance with drawings, safety standards, and quality requirements. Financial & Contract ManagementManage project budgets and cost tracking. Review subcontract agreements and purchase orders. Monitor labour productivity and material usage. Manage delay claims, back charges, and scope changes. Ensure timely invoicing and payment follow‑up. CloseoutEnsure deficiencies are completed. Finalize documentation and project records. Review project performance and lessons learned. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in concrete forming (field + project management preferred). Solid understanding of forming systems (conventional, panel systems, gang forms, etc.). Experience in foundation walls, suspended slabs, columns, shear walls, and podium decks. Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications. Experience working as a subtrade with General Contractors. Strong knowledge of Ontario construction practices and site procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is an asset.
