This role is crucial in ensuring a safe, operable, and welcoming environment for our residents, guests and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, maintain, and improve the preventative maintenance program, ensuring all required checks are executed, logged, and documented promptlyMaintain the building, including all electrical and mechanical equipment and fixtures, in a secure and operable conditionOversee the building envelope and grounds, including the site waste management programManage and execute work orders, preventative maintenance, and asset/equipment history using the Maintenance Care computer programPaint vacant suites and touch up common areasPrioritize items needing attention and repairObtain written quotes for services from local trades, suppliers, and contractorsWork effectively with all trades, subcontractors, and vendorsPerform routine, scheduled, and emergency building maintenanceSupport the fire safety program for the homeEnsure sidewalks, patios,



and all exit areas are clear of ice and snow during winter; shovel, sand, and salt as requiredAdminister the maintenance and repair sections of the quality assurance program. Support and participate in quality initiatives by providing input and suggestions for improvement, reporting feedback to the Site LeaderBe available to work Monday to Friday and on-call evenings and weekends as required for emergenciesSalary Range$58,240.00 to $72,800 annually, based on a 40-hour work week.Must-HavesJourneyman or similar level of certification in a trade appropriate for building maintenance, or relevant training and experienceMinimum of 5 years of management experienceAbility to read and interpret building drawings and codes is preferredComputer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office and building management softwareEffective verbal and written English communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving abilitiesPhysical ability to carry out the duties of the positionSuccessful completion of the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record CheckWHMIS training and Occupational Health and Safety Certifications are assetsWe thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
