Apprentice Electrician -Overhead Crane Service Technician - EdmontonKristian Electric is looking an Apprentice Electrician who is interested in joining the Overhead Crane Service Technician team at our Edmonton branch as an Apprentice Crane Technician, you will be trained and coached through your apprenticeship while learning the ins and outs of crane service, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and eventually, inspections. An Apprentice Crane Technician assists with the servicing and installing of overhead cranes at customer job sites and in our local shop. The successful candidate will be:Reliable and conscientious of their learning, techniques, and work while assisting with project deadlines and customer requestsA team player – willing to help wherever needed and take on any tasks that may get your hands dirtySafety focused and diligent to role model for future apprentices and other co-workersKey Responsibilities:Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of overhead cranes and equipmentAssisting in the installation of overhead cranes and corresponding equipmentTroubleshooting equipment to diagnose deficiencies and determine repairs requiredRepairing or replacing defective partsCleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and performing other maintenance work on lifting equipmentServicing attachments and working toolsContinued education, technical experience, and on-the-job learningCore Competencies:Ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical and mechanical issuesReliable, organized, and attentive to detailsExceptional customer service experienceAbility to function as part of a team and to request and accept direction as neededDedication to safety and willingness to fully participate in the Kristian Electric Health & Safety ProgramPositive attitude towards learning, motivating, working on a team, and engaging with customersClear communicator both written and verballyRequired Education and Experience:Must be an indentured apprentice in valuable standing with apprenticeship boardMinimum 2-year electrical experience — clearly state your level of apprenticeship (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year) on your applicationElectrical experience in industrial areas preferredMust be comfortable working at heightsMust have reliable transportation and must have a valid non-graduated driver's license, a 5-year driver's abstract, evidencing a clean driving recordMust be safety orientedTraining: WHMIS 2015, CSTS, Fall Arrest, Elevated Work Platform, Emergency or Standard First Aid – CPR, Scissor Lift, Forklift certification,
