Xyólheméylh seeks a Jurisdiction and Policy Research Consultant dedicated to advancing Indigenous cultural values. Contribute to the well-being of Indigenous families by shaping effective policy initiatives.
In this role, under the Urban Community Relations Team, you'll assess and develop strategic frameworks to support First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people. Your duties will include conducting legislative analyses and preparing informative reports to drive community engagement and systemic improvements. Passion for Indigenous culture and commitment to advocacy are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead evaluation processes for existing policies and frameworks
• Engage with stakeholders for cooperative policy development
• Conduct research and produce community-oriented reports




• Facilitate the sharing of strategies for best practices
• Address systemic challenges in service delivery
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related discipline
• 3+ years' experience in child and family related policy
• Knowledge of Indigenous child welfare frameworks
• Experience in conducting thorough research and reporting
• Criminal Records check and valid BC Driver’s Licence required
