Role Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the loading, unloading and storing of customer freight in a secure and productive manner.

Hours of Work:
Shifts vary Monday to Sunday- Days, Afternoons & Overnight
Shifts vary from 8 and 10 hours shifts

Key Accountabilities:

In this role, you will:
Operate a forklift to safely load and unload freight from trucks
Use pick sheets to determine which skids will be shipped
Confirm that inbound freight is received by either scanning the product or completing inbound forms
Verify the packing labels for accuracy of product being shipped
Report any damaged freight or quality concerns to the Facility Supervisor




Attend daily shift meetings and complete stretches
Pick, sequence and pack product according to customer’s requirements using racks, carts, plastic totes, boxes or gaylords
Manually unload products or empty racks from trailers
Manually load freight into trailers
Meet all efficiency requirements as determined by the SOP and the Warehouse Manager

Other Duties:
Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings:

Education & Experience:
Forklift license
1 to 2 years as propane forklift driver

Skills & Attributes:
Experience in transportation is an asset
Clear criminal record
Ability to operate a forklift safely
Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
Good time management skills
Creative and effective problem-solving ability
