The Leduc & District Food Bank is seeking an energetic, reliable, and adaptable Warehouse Laborer to join our team. This position works in a busy warehouse environment and requires someone who can work both collaboratively and independently, in an ever-changing setting to meet the needs of our clients and team members.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild client hampersLoad and unload stock, including food, dry goods, and other donated itemsSort, inspect, shelve, rotate, and organize inventory according to FIFO practicesMaintain, organize, and manage stock in the warehouse, freezer, and cooler as requiredConduct basic inventory counts and report discrepanciesOperate Food Bank vehicles for pickups and deliveriesPerform basic forklift and pallet jack operationsAssist in other areas of the warehouse as requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including snow removal from doors and drive areasFollow all warehouse safety procedures, food safety standards, and protected lifting practicesPerform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and other senior staffRequired Skills, Knowledge,



and ExperienceExperience handling food products and donated goods in a regulated environment is an assetPhysically fit with the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for up to 8 hours per dayBasic understanding of food handling, storage, and sanitation proceduresForklift certification and experience operating pallet jacks are assetsAbility to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing daily workloadsStrong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skillsAbility to work efficiently both as part of a team and independentlyWorking knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practicesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with staff, volunteers, and clientsFirst Aid certification is an assetValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAdditional RequirementsAbility to provide a Criminal Record Check and Driver's AbstractMust be legally eligible to work in CanadaApplication ProcessThank you for your interest in this position.
