FUNCTION & DUTIES:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Adult Education and Vocational Training, the Education Consultation is responsible for the organization of training activities in Nunavik and handles the various files assigned.
Provide pedagogical support to teachers across numerous programs.
Support teachers with respect to classroom management, pedagogical strategies, module planning, evaluation tools and techniques, and help them in their search for necessary materials.
Plan and supervise workplace internships.
Organize training activities for teachers.
Conduct research and stay up to date on news related to vocational training and vocational teaching.
Collaborate on the implementation of recent vocational training programs.
Perform any other related tasks assigned by the immediate superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, in particular education or adult education.

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

REQUIREMENTS:
Written and spoken fluency in two (2) of the three (3)



working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, English, or French).
At least five (5) years of experience in the field of vocational teaching.
Strong communication and facilitation skills in French and English, and knowledge of the MEQ's approach to vocational training programs.
Northern experience is considered an asset.

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:

In accordance with the SPPENOM collective agreement for professionals. This position belongs to job category 2104: from $56,670 to $105,432 annually depending on qualification and experience. All perks are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
