Position: Material Handling Equipment OperatorShift: Evening Shift - Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30pm - 6:00amLocation: 330 Mazenod Road, Winnipeg, MBDuties:Operate a Material Handling Equipment such as; Raymond Reach, Fork lift, Walkie, Counter Balance and to move material through the facility as requiredWork in a fast paced setting building pallets with product to be shipped to fill customer ordersMoving pallet to correct locations by reading & scanning labelsEnsure tasks get done on-time and accuratelyScan product to pallet using an RF HandheldProvide materials to the picking line by physically moving them from stock points along the line, off trailers, and from other storage areas.Makes sure to replenish locations with the right product.Use RF guns to scan items/boxes used for replenishmentActively communicate with supervisors and colleagues to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concernsProperly document work performedAssist in the effective completion of inventory auditsStacks pallets in designated areas. Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areasDemonstrate respect forthe organization's values on a daily basis,



while maintaining and upholding company policies & proceduresHealth & Safety:Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment lawsWork in a healthy and safe manner following LIM's policies, proceduresAlways wear or use protective equipmentReport any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisorMust not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or othersMust not put other workers at risk by your actionsEducation:Some High School, preferably a High School DiplomaExperience:At least 1-year warehouse experience operating material handling equipmentRaymond Reach, Forklift, Walkie, Counter-Balance operator experience and certification with proven track record for safetyExperience with a RF scannerCore Competencies:Proven communication both written and verbalMust be capable of sitting, standing, lifting and walking for extended periods of timeService orientated with strong customer service skills and commitment to quality of workGood mathematical skillsAble to lift, on average 50 lbs, repetitively and safelyStrong team player, but also able to work effectively independentlyDemonstrate strong interpersonal skills - able to follow instructionsOrganized and shows strong attention to detailExperience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) would be a definite asset
