Customer Service Representative - Manufacturing

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team. This position would be ideal for someone with strong customer service and order-processing experience who is comfortable working with strong math skills, comfortable calculating measurements and working with detailed product information.

The successful candidate will work directly with customers, answering product inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders and invoices, and ensuring customers receive accurate and timely service.

Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email
Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and orders
Prepare and process customer quotes, orders, and invoices
Enter and maintain accurate customer and order information
Assist customers in determining appropriate product requirements
Work with measurements and perform basic calculations, including square-foot calculations
Develop a good working knowledge of the company’s products
Work with internal departments to ensure customer orders and requests are handled accurately
Follow up with customers regarding orders, questions, or concerns
Resolve customer service issues in a professional and timely manner




Maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers
Complete general administrative and data-entry duties as required

What We’re Looking For
2+ years of customer service, order desk, or inside sales support experience
Strong math skills and confidence working with measurements and dimensions
Experience preparing quotes and processing customer orders
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable learning technical product information
Valuable computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Experience working with an ERP or order-entry system would be an asset
Manufacturing, industrial, construction, or building-products experience would be an asset, but is not required
