The Mechanic is responsible for repairs and the maintenance of diesel powered tractor-trailers, for both internal and external customers, as well as ensuring the road worthiness of company and leased equipment.ResponsibilitiesPreventative maintenance on Trailers but must be open to work on trucks as well.Preventative maintenance on checking tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, electrical system, PM's, electrical work, brakes, suspension and product pump rebuilds.WeldingFollow safety and use of proper PPE.Follow procedures.QualificationsRed Seal is an asset.CVIP Certification is an asset.Two years verifiable mechanic experience.Operation of hand and air tools.ScheduleMonday - FridaySome overtime maybe required$35.00 - $40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
