Job Description Position Purpose summary: The Christmas Kettle Assistant helps to organize, direct, and supervise the work performed by Christmas Kettle Campaign Worker activities. Accountabilities Assist with promoting, coordinating and overseeing the activities of Christmas Kettle Campaign Worker volunteers.



Assist with overseeing the operations of the Christmas Kettle campaign including scheduling of volunteers. Assist with the orientation and performance management of kettle worker volunteers. Assist the Christmas Kettle Coordinator with scheduling kettle volunteers including filling gaps and cancellations and responding to emergency absences. Provide support to kettle volunteers navigating the current online volunteer management program. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with kettle sites. Coordinate and assist with the delivery and pick-up of kettles to/from sites daily, ensuring the security of donations. Host at a kettle as required ensuring necessary coverage for breaks, etc. Ensure that kettle locations have adequate supplies. Assist with transferring the kettle contents into the deposit bags for processing. Complete shift reminder phone calls and/or voice mail messages for volunteers.
