Description of position: Oversees employees and directs operations of the pharmacy department (92 & 93). Ensures that the pharmacy department complies with all applicable Provincial and Federal laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy. Fulfills the role of a registered pharmacist in practicing direct patient care. The Pharmacy Manager reports to the Warehouse Manager. Daily tasks and responsibilities: Manages Pharmacy Department Appropriately schedules, develops, counsels, trains and directs department personnel and ensures quality patient care in line with productivity guidelines. Makes recommendations for hiring, promotion and termination to Pharmacy Operations Manager and Warehouse Manager. Reviews and approves department modified punch reports weekly.



Implements consistently activities on Routine Tasks List. Point of contact for regulatory, legal, third party insurance companies and audit situations. Monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal compliance. Observes employee performance, checks paperwork to ensure that proper department production, record keeping and product storage procedures and standards are followed. Implements and upholds safety and security procedures. Drafts and participates in presentation of employee performance evaluations. Reviews insurance
