Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac) invites applications for a 3rd Class Power Engineer at our Mill Site near Athabasca, Alberta. This role prioritizes the productive management of Chemical Recovery processes. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation of critical equipment, including recovery boilers and generators.

You’ll ensure safety and compliance while conducting inspections and troubleshooting equipment issues. This role demands a proactive approach and effective communication with team members to maintain continuous utility services. Key Responsibilities:
Operate recovery and utility systems including boilers
Monitor operational data and perform quality assurance tasks
Conduct safety and chemical testing on systems
Coordinate maintenance tasks with other teams
Maintain cleanliness and safety logs in the plant Requirements:
3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate
6 months experience in power/heating operations
Robust critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication abilities
