Fox Exploration is an exploration services contractor providing camp management and support to clients in the mineral resources sector. Established for over 15 years, Fox is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel with the prospect for career advancement across several skillsets.Job OverviewCamp Managers of our remote access job sites are often referred to as the "Swiss Army Knives" of camp as they require the use of multiple skillsets and incredible resourcefulness in ensuring the smooth operation of camp. The Camp Manager will work directly with the Project Manager or Senior Geologist. Accommodations at camp, meals and travel to and from the job site will be provided.ResponsibilitiesThe Camp Manager will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks to help ensure camp and camp equipment is maintained while providing assistance and support for other camp departments. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Assisting with the mobilization and construction of campAssisting camp tear down and demobilizationCompleting basic maintenance and repair of camp structures and equipment (basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical,



and mechanical)Ensuring camp remains organized and cleanOrdering and maintaining inventories of camp consumables such as fuel & lumberExpeditingOverseeing camp support staff and acting as the camp liaison with the head officeProviding camp orientation to all incoming personnelEnforcing Camp RulesWorking with the camp’s Health and Safety Officer in the design and implementation of safety protocols and procedures.Working directly with the Project Manger or Senior Geologist in the coordination and logistics of personnel and supplies going to and from camp.Requirements and PreferencesValid Driver’s License and off-road driving experienceValid PAL preferredBasic plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical knowledgeAbility to perform physically demanding work; lift at least fifty pounds (50 lbs)Ability to work long and irregular hoursLevel 1 First Aid certificate or equivalent preferredAbility to work independently or as part of a teamSelf-driven with a work ethic to go beyond what is expectedPrevious experience as a Camp Manager or Maintenance role is a major assetTrade certification in any related discipline is an assetStart Date: immediatelyEnd Date: October 31stCompensation:Commensurate with experienceApplicants based in Yukon, British Columbia or Alberta are preferred due to travel logistics.#J-18808-Ljbffr
