As a Supportive Housing Worker, you will provide essential support in a 24/7 facility, addressing the daily needs of residents facing various challenges. Your role involves fostering independence through life skills training and connecting individuals to community resources. You'll ensure a safe living space while assisting with recreational activities and crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer person-centered support and guidance • Conduct safety and crisis response measures • Perform housekeeping to maintain site condition • Assist residents in transportation and community access • Document incidents and participant development thoroughly
Requirements: • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education • Experience in a similar supportive environment is advantageous • Training in First Aid and CPR considered an asset • Solid interpersonal skills to connect with participants • Knowledge of community resources and mental health issues
