This involves the clinical hands on delivery of service; departmental policy andprocedure formulation; program planning, implementation, and evaluation; and the supervision of pharmacy technicians.ROLEThe Clinical Pharmacist Supervisor is involved in the provision, development and day to day operations of the MAHC Pharmacy Department and services. This includes but is not limited to:Review medication orders for safety and appropriateness, and verify orders in an electronic computerized health information systemProvide drug information and clinical pharmacy support (e.G. pharmacokinetic monitoring, etc.)Responsible for the oversight of drug distribution services in collaboration with other pharmacy staff (including IV medications, TPN, chemotherapy, narcotics etc.)Assisting in the investigation and reporting of medication related incidentsEnsure provision of pharmacy services in compliance with accepted standards and relevant legislation (accreditation, Can. Soc. of Hosp Pharmacists, Food & Drug Act, Regulated Health Professions Act, Public Hosp.
