Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs duties and tasks related to the preventative and corrective maintenance of a variety of construction equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate loves working with their hands, takes pride in their work and likes the challenge of figuring out how to make things work.What you will be doing:Performs preventative and corrective maintenance by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing all systems associated with heavy equipment and vehicles (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic)Prioritizing repair requirements and scheduleInspect and test repaired equipment to ensure work meets operational performance and safety standardsEvaluate equipment parts for reuse, repair or replacementDocument time, parts used, and repairs completed in shop systemEnsures shop, tools and equipment are kept secure,
