Job Description Vortex Stratgie & recrutement is actively seeking a Senior Advisor, Communications and Corporate Affairs for its client, an international company based in Montreal.

You will play a central role in positioning the company, protecting its reputation and maintaining strong relationships with its key stakeholders.

You will advise executives, corporate teams and business units on a wide range of complex and often high-profile communications and public affairs mandates.

Reporting to the Director, Communications, the successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor and take ownership of strategic initiatives and communications projects requiring sound judgment, autonomy, political acumen and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities Work closely with the Director, Communications, to advance the departments strategic priorities and act as a key point of contact when required.

Act as a strategic advisor to executives, corporate teams and business units to develop communication strategies and approaches tailored to their objectives and target audiences.

Develop integrated communication plans aligned with the companys priorities and operational realities.

Lead complex communications mandates in collaboration with various teams and business units.

Proactively identify communication opportunities to support the achievement of the companys objectives.

Contribute to the development and implementation of community relations strategies, particularly in the context of major projects or issues affecting the companys operations.

Respond to media inquiries and conduct research to gather relevant information related to these requests.

Prepare spokespersons for interviews, conferences and industry events.

Participate in identifying, analyzing and monitoring issues that could impact the reputation of the organization or its projects.

Participate in the planning of the companys high-profile events.





Contribute to the ongoing development of communication practices, tools and processes.

Monitor current events and conduct strategic intelligence related to the companys industry and business environment.

Evaluate the results of communication strategies and initiatives, propose adjustments and make recommendations as required.

Represent the organization, as needed, on committees, working groups, at meetings or public events.

Requirements Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.

At least ten years of relevant experience in communications, public affairs, an agency environment or a comparable complex organization.

Significant experience in corporate communications and managing high-profile mandates.

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing integrated communication strategies and plans. A combination of experience within a large corporation and a government, public or broader public sector organization is considered a major asset.

Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written.

Strong strategic advisory, writing and issues management skills.

Excellent judgment, political acumen and the ability to exercise constructive influence.

High degree of autonomy and ability to manage multiple complex mandates simultaneously.

Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior executives.

Intellectual curiosity, thoroughness and a consistent commitment to quality.

Diplomacy and the ability to bring people together and foster engagement.

Strong knowledge of digital platforms and social media.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
