Skaldyr Inc. is a Nova Scotia-based marine biotechnology company developing high-value nutritional and functional ingredients from marine co-products. Our processes use innovative, environmentally responsible technologies to transform marine materials into valuable products for agricultural, animal nutrition, and other functional ingredient applications.

Skaldyr Inc. is seeking a Casual General Labourer to carry out hands on day-to-day production activities. The successful candidate will assist with marine co-product processing, including grinding, separating, transferring, packaging, and bottling products. Training will be provided on processes, equipment, and safety procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist with the preparation and processing of marine-derived materials.

· Operate or assist with grinding, separation and processing equipment following established procedures.

· Assist with filling and bottling finished products including packaging

· Track mass balance as SOP followed diligently.

· Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, work surfaces,



and production areas and maintain clean and organized plant

· Follow all workplace health and safety, quality, and food/product-handling requirements.

· Perform other general production and labour duties as required.

Qualifications and Eligibility:

- Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in a production workplace including long days of processing where required. Require a forklift ticket.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions diligently committing to quality and detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work alone or as part of a small team.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, food processing, seafood processing, agriculture, production environments considered an asset.
