Nunavut Alarms and Security is seeking an experienced, certified Fire Alarm Technician to provide on-call support throughout Nunavut.
The successful contractor must be prepared to mobilize and travel on short notice to any of Nunavut’s 26 communities when requested.
Assignments may include emergency service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, testing and system verification.
Requirements:
- Current CFAA registration or equivalent recognized certification
- Robust fire-alarm service and troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and ULC standards
- Ability to travel anywhere in Nunavut on short notice
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own standard tools and required PPE
- Ability to work independently and prepare accurate service documentation
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one is an asset
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly or daily contract rate
- Flights, accommodations and approved travel expenses provided
- Terms based on qualifications, experience and availability
