Skyline is hiring an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist in Guelph, Ontario. Lead initiatives ensuring workplace safety and compliance at our Biogas facility in Elmira, Ontario.
This essential role requires a dedicated Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to spearhead the development and implementation of safety programs. You will work closely with various businesses under the Skyline Group, promoting best practices in health and safety and enhancing our prevention-focused workplace culture. This position includes conducting hazard assessments and providing training and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the development of health and safety protocols
• Assist with documenting workplace incidents and hazards




• Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard evaluations
• Analyze safety concerns and drive improvement opportunities
• Produce health and safety communication materials
Requirements:
• Comprehensive understanding of safety legislation
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented with a solid problem-solving approach
• Ability to foster positive relationships across teams
• Post-secondary education or relevant experience
