This vacancy is a full-time, permanent opportunity. The Manager, TBS Accounting & Reporting, is responsible for the accuracy and timely delivery of The Beer Store (TBS) financial statements and shareholder reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role manages the accounting and financial close process (month end, quarter end and year end) including reviewing and validating journal entries and reconciliations and resolving any issues. The Manager, TBS Accounting & Reporting leads the preparation of the annual financial statements, including accompanying note disclosures, as well as providing support for annual financial statement audits, internal audit engagements and other operational reviews. This role leads and mentors Senior Accountants and represents the TBS Accounting & Reporting team in cross functional projects and corporate initiatives.LocationOur Corporate Office is currently located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of three in-office days per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function. As part of our continued growth, we are relocating our Corporate Office to Milton, ON with a planned entry at the end of 2027. Employees in this role will be expected to work from the Milton location once the transition is complete.What You’ll Be DoingOversee the month‑end financial close for The Beer Store, coordinating with Retail, Logistics,



and Corporate teams to ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and within established timelinesEnsure all accounting and reporting is in accordance with TBS financial policies and processes and in compliance with internal controlsMaintain the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts and cost centres, approve changes to hierarchy and create new accounts as requiredReview and approve all journal entries posted to the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracyReview and manage fixed asset and right-of-use asset ledgers ensuring accuracy and completenessReview and approve balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling itemsAnalyze financial results and investigate variances, providing clear insights and recommendations to senior management, shareholders, and operational teamsLead monthly results meetings, presenting performance against plan and prior periods to senior finance leadershipPrepare and distribute accurate monthly financial results, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement to senior managementCoordinate, prepare, and distribute shareholder reporting packagesLead quarterly and year‑end reporting processes, including preparation of annual financial statements, note disclosures, and supporting documentationOversee preparation of working paper files and supporting documentation for internal and external audits, as well as government information requestsProvide guidance and support to operational teams and financial planning regarding financial reporting and technical accounting mattersManage, coach, and develop a team of Senior Accountants, overseeing workload planning, performance management, training, and employee engagementPerform other related duties and projects as assignedEducationPost Secondary degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience5+ years of progressive accounting experience3+ years experience in managing employees or leading cross-functional projectsExperience working with SAP/large ERP systemsPrior experience in audit and assurance is an assetSkillsStrong detailed working knowledge of IFRS including expertise in IFRS 16 - leasesExcellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and executionExceptional organizational skills; ability to managemultiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlinesSound critical thinking; proven problem-solving and excellent analytical skillsStrong leadership and team building skills with an ability to develop and motivate team membersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to concisely summarize and communicate complex issues to FP&A, Logistics, PMO, Retail and Real Estate leadersStrong interpersonal skills; ability to develop collaborative relationships at all levels across the organizationAdvanced Excel skills including the ability to create and manage complex worksheets, pivot tables and macros; robust proficiency withMicrosoft Word and PowerPointCompensationSalary range?
