About the Opportunity Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), The Director of Engineering and Operations provides strategic technical leadership and governance across all Wesdome mine sites, ensuring high quality engineering practices, integrated planning systems, and consistent operational execution. You are hands-on, adaptable, and accountable, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategic corporate initiatives and practical site-level support Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Job Duties Hands-On Technical Support: Provide hands‑on assistance to operations in all areas pertaining to Mining Engineering, including rock mechanics and ground control, ventilation, planning, drilling, and blasting to enhance performance and deliver on best in class practices. Operational Excellence: Process owner of the design, governance, and continuous improvement of the Wesdome Operating Model in conjunction with the site operations and corporate teams. Ensure integrated planning, execution, and feedback systems are clearly defined with role clarity across all operations. Budgeting and Planning: Work collaboratively with mine site leadership to develop annual budgets and life of mine (LOM) plans that align with Wesdome’s strategic objectives. Reserve Updates and Oversight: Provide professional mining guidance and assistance on annual Reserve updates, acting as Qualified Person (QP) in the absence of site expertise. Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate and streamline knowledge sharing between operations to promote best practices and continuous improvement. Professional Development: Actively engage in the professional development of the Corporation’s engineering personnel through coaching and mentoring on industry best practices and standards. Contribution to Corporate Development: Contribute mining engineering insights to Corporate Development reviews and evaluations, supporting property acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A),



and integration activities. Qualifications and Experience Mining Engineering degree; post‑graduate educationis considered an asset. Membership in a recognized professional organization, with P.Eng. or equivalent professional designation required. Minimum 10 years of progressive mining engineering and operations leadership experience, with a strong technical background in underground mining operations. Strong technical expertise in areas such as rock mechanics and ground control, ventilation, mine planning, drilling, blasting, operational reporting, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated experience supporting annual budgeting, life of mine planning, reserve updates, and technical governance across mining operations. Experience leading or supporting large‑scale engineering initiatives, ensuring work is completed safely, effectively, on time, and within budget. Strong understanding of health, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements within a mining environment. Experience partnering with corporate teams on technical reviews, growth initiatives, due diligence, M&A, or integration activities is considered an asset. Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
