Salary Information

CG19 - $37,965.20 - $40,968.20 per annum.

Duties And Responsibilities The Custodial Worker is an integral part of the Physical Operations team at the Prince Philip Drive campus of College of the North Atlantic and is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and efficient facility:

- Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility by carrying out general cleaning and custodial duties.
- Maintain adequate supplies in washrooms and other designated areas.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance to furniture, equipment, and facilities.
- Move and assemble furniture in classrooms, offices, boardrooms, and other areas as required.
- Set up and dismantle rooms and equipment for internal and external events.
- Load and unload freight and deliveries from trucks.
- Transport heavy materials, equipment, and supplies to classrooms, offices, and other buildings.
- Remove garbage and debris from the property.
- Perform general grounds maintenance, including snow removal, ice control, lawn mowing, and raking.
- Other duties as required to support the productive operation and maintenance of the campus.

Screening Criteria

- High School Diploma ( equivalencies will be considered ).
- Recent, relevant experience in a similar position performing custodial maintenance work.

Assessment Criteria

- Knowledge of general maintenance and custodial functions.
- Knowledge of safe handling, use, storage, and disposal of cleaning products, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to exchange information effectively.
- Ability to manage time and tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professionalism.

Conditions of Acceptance

- Acknowledges this position works outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- This position may be required to operate College vehicles; therefore, candidates must possess a valid driver's licence.
- Willing to accept a physically demanding position, standing and/or moving round continuously, work at heights and/or in confined spaces.
- Acknowledges the requirement for lifting and moving objects weighting up to 50 lbs.
