Current Opportunity: EAP Counsellor (Independent Contractor) Location: Anywhere in Canada Languages required: French and English Note: This is a remote position and iis an opportunity for an independent counsellor to provide telephone based clinical support to our clients.

The expectations would be that the counsellor would be available to provide this support for 8-16 hours per week.

What you will do: Providing immediate, holistic support to individuals and managers over the telephone (including crisis calls where appropriate) to our French speaking clients.

Confidential, empathetic emotional support and transparent documentation of the calls.

Triage to the appropriate internal team in the event of requests for crisis support (e.g. psychological support following an accident at work).

What you will need: Masters degree in Mental Health (e.g.

Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline).





Fluent written and spoken French and a conversational level of English required.

Minimum of two years post-qualification experience delivering direct, client-facing counselling or mental health support.

Proven experience using solutionfocused counselling approaches in clinical or support settings.

Demonstrated experience supporting clients in highrisk situations, including crisis intervention.

Strong risk assessment, safeguarding, and safetyplanning skills are essential.

Excellent IT and administrative competencies, with the ability to accurately manage client records and case management systems.

Experience working within a service centre or similarly structured environment is desirable. A strong customer service background is an advantage.

Previous experience within organisations with listening, counselling, or emotional support services is highly desirable.
