Because I work as a physician, my schedule includes hospital shifts during the day, evenings, and overnight.

We''re looking for someone who can provide dependable support that helps our household run smoothly while ensuring the girls feel safe, cared for, and well supported.

No two weeks are exactly alike.

Some days you''ll drive the girls to school, greet them after school, help with homework, prepare dinner, or head outside for a bike ride or a trip to the park.

Other times you''ll provide overnight care while I''m working at the hospital, giving the girls the comfort of waking up with someone they know and trust.

What you''ll do: - Safely drive the girls to and from school as scheduled. - Provide before- and after-school care. - Provide overnight care while I am working overnight hospital shifts. - Prepare healthy meals and snacks. - Help with homework and encourage curiosity and a love of learning. - Plan fun, creative, and outdoor activities during non-school days. - Help keep the children''s bedrooms, play areas, and shared spaces tidy and organized.



- Assist with children''s laundry and light household tasks. - Be a positive, dependable adult presence in the girls'' lives.

Who you are: - Warm, dependable, patient, and emotionally mature. - Someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. - Organized, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative. - Calm under pressure and able to create a sense of stability. - Active and happy to spend time outdoors. - An excellent communicator who values honesty and teamwork. - A positive role model who demonstrates kindness, integrity, responsibility, and good judgment.

Qualifications: - Previous childcare experience is required. - Experience as a nanny, teacher, educational assistant, early childhood educator, youth worker, or similar role is highly valued. - CPR and First Aid certification. - Valid driver''s licence with a safe driving record. - Criminal record check. - Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Position Details: - Part-time with the potential for additional hours. - Located in the North Okanagan. - Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. - Morning school drop-offs, afternoon pick-ups, and overnight shifts as required. - Mileage reimbursed when using your own vehicle for transporting the children. - Long-term applicants are strongly preferred.
