At Spaceium, we are building spacecraft systems designed to push the boundaries of what's possible in orbit. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design and develop mechanical systems and structures for our spacecraft platforms. You will own the mechanical design lifecycle from concept through manufacturing and testing, ensuring our hardware is flight-ready and reliable.ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical components, assemblies, and structures for spacecraft systemsPerform structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis on mechanical designsCreate detailed drawings and 3D models using CAD softwareWork with manufacturing partners to produce prototypes and flight hardwareDevelop and execute test plans for mechanical qualification and acceptanceConduct trade studies on materials, fasteners, and joining methodsCollaborate with systems, electrical, and software engineers on integrated designSupport assembly, integration, and test activitiesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldExperience with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, or similar)Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&TExperience with version control or configuration managementWhat We're Looking ForWe're building technology that hasn't been done before.
