About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and caring Dog Groomer who can independently complete full grooming services for a variety of dog breeds, sizes, and coat types.

This position requires someone who can manage the entire grooming appointment—from discussing the requested style to completing a clean, polished finish. A genuine love for dogs, a strong sense of responsibility, and consistent punctuality are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently complete full grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissoring, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims, as appropriate for each dog.
- Perform breed-appropriate styles and practical pet trims based on coat condition and client preferences.
- Confidently work with different coat types and select suitable grooming techniques, tools, and products.
- Handle dogs patiently and gently, recognizing signs of stress and adjusting the grooming process when needed.
- Prioritize each dog’s safety and comfort, and communicate any skin, coat, health, or behaviour concerns promptly.
- Manage appointments responsibly and complete services efficiently without compromising safety or quality.
- Keep grooming tools, equipment, and work areas clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Arrive on time, ready for scheduled appointments, and communicate clearly with clients and coworkers.

Requirements

- Previous professional dog grooming experience.
- Ability to independently complete a full groom from start to finish. This is not a trainee or bather-only position.
- Strong clipping and scissoring skills, with attention to detail and a consistent standard of finish.
- Experience grooming a variety of breeds, sizes, and coat types.
- A genuine love for dogs and a patient,



safety-focused approach to handling them.
- A strong sense of responsibility, dependable attendance, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow client instructions and explain what is suitable for the dog’s coat and comfort.
- Availability to work 2–5 days per week.

Portfolio Required

Please provide before-and-after photos of full grooms you personally completed, featuring several different dog breeds or coat types.

For each example, please include:

- A before-and-after photo of the same dog, showing the full body and finished style clearly.
- The breed or breed mix, if known.
- A brief description of the grooming services performed.
- Confirmation that you completed the full groom independently, or an explanation of which parts you performed.

Please submit only your own work and photos you have permission to share. Avoid including client faces or personal information. You may provide a portfolio link or a qualified grooming social media page with clearly identified examples.
