Its homes provide 24-hour nursing care, dementia care, rehabilitation, end-of-life care, and a wide range of social and recreational programs. Primacare is one of the few privately held long-term care organizations in Ontario accredited with the internationally recognized Butterfly Model of Care for dementia services. In addition to operating its own homes, Primacare offers consulting services to long-term care and retirement home operators across Ontario to help strengthen quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Role Description The Full Stack Engineer for long-term care applications is a full-time, in office role based in Brampton, ON. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that support resident care, clinical workflows, and operational efficiency across Primacare’s homes and consulting services. Day-to-day tasks include building and integrating front-end interfaces with back-end services, implementing secure data flows, and optimizing application performance.

The engineer will collaborate with clinical, administrative,



and leadership teams to translate care and regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and deliver enhancements. The role also involves participating in code reviews, documenting technical processes, and contributing to the long-term technical roadmap for Primacare’s digital tools.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, with experience delivering production-grade web applications.
- Candidates should possess strong customer services as this role interfaces with the internal customers.
- Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills, including experience with server-side frameworks, RESTful APIs, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Candidates should have experience with version control (e.g., Git), testing practices, and deployment pipelines in cloud or on-premise environments.
- Relevant qualifications include a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with healthcare or long-term care systems, data privacy and security practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid problem-solving abilities, explicit written and verbal communication, and a commitment to building reliable, user-centered solutions are essential.
