The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Full Time Community Justice Counsellor. This role is a vital part of our Justice Program offering client-centered services that provide strength-based individual education, assessment and counselling to youth and adults involved in the legal system. The primary focus for client service delivery would be supporting several of the Community Justice Programs.

What You’ll Do

- Complete intakes, facilitate groups and meet with clients
- Be responsible for court coverage
- Assist in other Community Justice programs as needed and scheduled
- Respond to client needs by providing support counselling, information and by liaising with resources, support and referral sources.

What You’ll Bring





- Have a college diploma in a Human/Social Services field.
- Have a minimum 1-year combined student placement and/or paid experience working with individuals involved in the justice system.
- Have a knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
- Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases.
- Must hold a valid G driver’s license and be able to transport clients to appointments, community activities, and program-related events.
- Be able to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress.
