Summary Of Duties

Provides leadership for the NFB’s business intelligence (BI), performance measurement and organizational reporting functions. Leads the development and continuous evolution of the organization’s business intelligence capability, including governance frameworks, methodologies, performance indicators, reporting solutions and analytical tools that support evidence-based decision making. Directs the analysis of organizational data and provides senior leadership with actionable insights and strategic recommendations on organizational performance, audience engagement, market trends, resource allocation and organizational results.

Main Responsibilities

- Leads the development, implementation and continuous evolution of the NFB’s business intelligence, performance measurement and organizational reporting strategies, as well as governance frameworks and practices that support organizational priorities and decision making.
- Advises the Chief Strategy Officer and senior leadership on BI, performance measurement and organizational reporting, and partners with them to develop, monitor and refine key performance indicators.
- Establishes and maintains standards, methodologies and reporting practices that promote consistent and effective use of data and analytics across the organization.
- Collaborates with IT and business owners to strengthen data systems, reporting tools, data flows and the management of business-critical data.
- Oversees data quality, definitions and governance practices to ensure the consistency,



integrity and reliability of BI and organizational reporting.
- Manages the development and maintenance of BI tools, analytical products and briefing materials that translate complex data into clear, timely and actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Leads performance measurement and analysis across organizational, audience, platform and marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and emerging issues that inform strategic and operational planning.
- Provides strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform decision making and performance improvement.
- Oversees corporate reporting on production, distribution, audiences, revenue, equity and other organizational results, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Provides BI support and insights for brand, market and audience research initiatives.
- Establishes priorities, allocates resources and oversees the delivery of BI services and products.
- Participates in the development of BI sector priorities, planning and initiatives; communicates objectives and strategies to staff and represents the sector when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leads team performance and development by setting objectives, evaluating results and fostering collaboration, cohesion and professional growth.

Required Training, Knowledge And Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, performance measurement or organizational reporting, including at least three (3) years of experience managing teams and staff.





- Demonstrated experience leading or developing business intelligence frameworks, performance indicators, dashboards, reporting and strategic analysis for senior decision makers.
- Strong knowledge of data systems, data modelling, data quality, reporting methodologies and performance measurement.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics and other digital analytics tools.
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent.
- Bilingualism in the official languages (French and English), both orally and in writing.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to draft and present reports, in both official languages (English and French).
