WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson will be a member of the Maintenance department responsible for daily repairs and preventative maintenance of Calfrac’s well-servicing equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson will focus on diagnosing and repairing equipment in a protected, timely and effective manner.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose and repair equipment in a safe, timely and effective manner

Assist in mentoring apprentices and new employees

Ensure that all paperwork is completed both accurately and on timeVerify repairs and ensure they are completed and documented

Ensure all maintenance inspections are completed

Remote field work may be required





Must attend all pre job meetings and attend safety meetings when required

Participate in equipment modifications, campaigns and recalls

Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

SCHEDULE
Local schedule: eight (8) days on, followed by six (6) days off

Shop and field positions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Journeyman Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification required

4 – 5 years of related experience

Valid class 5 drivers licence or equivalent required

Satisfactory drivers abstract required

Adequate tool selection for Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade

Successful completion of the Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal program is preferred

Certified to complete CVIP / DOT inspections would be considered an asset

High School Diploma or Ged preferred
