The Opportunity

TS Manufacturing is looking for an Intermediate Optimization Software Developer to develop and support software used in modern sawmill operations across North America and internationally.

This is an opportunity to work with experienced developers and industrial automation teams while building your knowledge of software optimization, manufacturing processes and industrial technology. The role combines software development with hands-on installation, commissioning and customer support.

What You'll Do

- Develop and maintain C#/.NET applications and Blazor user interfaces
- Build features involving production data, configuration, databases, reporting and system integration
- Troubleshoot software issues using logs, database queries and testing
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions and software releases
- Support installation and commissioning of software at customer sites
- Verify communication between software, PLCs, scanners and other industrial equipment
- Work with developers, controls specialists and customers to resolve technical issues
- Improve testing, documentation, diagnostics and software reliability
- Develop expertise in sawmill processes and optimization technology

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 5 years experience in software development
- Professional experience developing software with C# and .NET
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, APIs, asynchronous programming and relational databases
- Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and field teams
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Willingness to learn industrial processes and work in active manufacturing environments
- Ability to travel to customer sites when required

Experience That Will Set You Apart

Experience with any of the following is an asset:

- ASP.NET Core, Blazor, gRPC or Protobuf
- Entity Framework Core, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or SQLite
- Industrial automation, manufacturing or optimization software
- PLCs,



industrial networking or laser scanning technology
- Machine vision, geometry, numerical computing or visualization
- Git and automated testing

Work Location & Travel The position is associated with our Lindsay, Ontario office. Candidates in Lindsay and surrounding areas are preferred, but work from home is available for proven self-starters. Periodic time in Lindsay is preferred but not required.

Travel is generally about 1.5 weeks within a typical two-month period or less, depending on project requirements. Advance notice is normally provided, with occasional urgent customer situations requiring shorter notice. All required travel expenses are covered, and senior technical support is available when needed.
