Junior Welder / Fabricator – Laser Welding Technician

Laser Weld Creation is looking for a Junior Welder / Fabricator to join our team full-time.

This is a great prospect for a welder who has approximately 1 year or more of welding experience and wants to develop their skills while learning a specialized laser welding process.

Our work involves custom fabrication, repairs, and precision welding on a variety of metal components. You will be working with experienced team members and will receive hands-on training in laser welding and other processes used in our shop.

We are not looking for someone with years of experience. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in welding, good mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

- Perform welding and fabrication work on repair and custom projects
- Assist with repairs and modifications to metal components
- Learn and operate laser welding equipment
- Prepare, fit, weld, and finish components
- Grind, clean, and finish welded parts as required
- Use hand tools, power tools, and common shop equipment
- Read basic drawings and accurately measure parts
- Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work with different metals including stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and other alloys




- Work as part of a small team and assist with various shop projects as needed

Qualifications
- Approximately 1 year or more of welding experience
- Basic TIG and/or MIG welding experience
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
- Able to read basic drawings and use measuring tools
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
- Comfortable learning new equipment and technology
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team

Previous laser welding experience is not required. Full training will be provided.

This position is ideal for a junior welder looking to build their experience and learn a specialized welding technology. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn than someone with years of experience.

Pay: $17.60-$21.60 per hour
