valves and related componentsInspect and repair diesel and gasoline-powered equipmentPerform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnosticsRepair mechanical transmissions, drive-trains, final drives and enginesService winches, compressors, pumps, and electric generatorsEvacuate and recharge A/C systemsTest repaired equipment to ensure proper performanceComplete work orders, inspection reports and timecards accuratelyMaintain a clean, organized and safe work environmentStay current with evolving equipment tech and repair techniquesPerform additional repair and maintenance duties as requiredQualifications:Completion of interprovincial Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or equivalent experienceStrong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilitiesExperience with hydraulic and electrical systemsExperience working on All lines of construction equipment: Heavy, Mid-level and CompactValid driver's license with a clean abstractAbility to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environmentOwn hand tools (shop and specialty tools provided)Solid interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written)Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesPhysically able to lift up to 50lbA criminal record check and driver's abstract will be requiredWork Conditions and place:Shop based position with some exposure to field workPPE and safety equipment providedOvertime available as requiredHazards of typical heavy duty equipment environmentIf you're a motivated, safety-conscious mechanic who takes pride in high-quality work we want to hear from you.
