Role Description This is a remote, contract role for Ontario High School Teachers with Pacific Rim Education. Educators will deliver high school-level instruction aligned with the Ontario curriculum, with a particular focus on Physics and related subjects as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering online lessons, creating and grading assessments, providing academic feedback, and supporting students in building strong foundational knowledge that prepares them for university admission.

Teachers will communicate regularly with students and families, participate in virtual meetings as needed,



and collaborate with PRE-Canada’s consulting team to align coursework with students’ long-term academic goals. Flexibility in scheduling, professionalism in online teaching environments, and a commitment to student success are essential.

Qualifications

- Strong teaching and education skills, including experience delivering high school-level instruction aligned with the Ontario curriculum.
- Subject-matter expertise in Physics and related math or science disciplines relevant to Ontario high school courses.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and creating engaging learning materials.
- Excellent communication skills, including explicit online instruction and responsive feedback to students and families.
- Ontario teaching certification or equivalent qualification; prior experience teaching in Ontario schools is highly beneficial.
- Experience with online teaching platforms, digital classroom tools, and remote learning best practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and support students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physics, or a related field; advanced education credentials are an asset.
