Overview

We are looking for a Parts & Shop Support Technician to join our team in Edmonton. This is a hands-on support role that plays an important part in keeping our shop organized, our mechanics equipped with the parts they need, and our fleet safety equipment properly maintained and documented.

The successful candidate will be organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy shop workplace. This position will work closely with our mechanics, Shop Foreman, Shop Administrator, and management team.

In addition to parts and inventory responsibilities, this role will provide backup support for our Shop Administrator and Parts Runner when required.

Responsibilities

- Sort, organize, and label incoming parts and shop inventory
- Issue parts to mechanics as requested for jobs/work orders
- Process and restock returned or unused parts accurately
- Maintain organized shelving, bins, and storage areas
- Track inventory levels and flag low-stock or missing items for reorder
- Inspect and check expiration/inspection dates on safety equipment installed on trucks (e.g., fire extinguishers, first aid kits, hose Tests, CVIP,VK)
- Document inspection findings and flag any expired or non-compliant equipment




- Coordinate replacement or recertification of expired items with Shop Foreman / Shop Administrator
- Provide accurate compliance records/logs for Work orders
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

- High school equivalent or higher
- Prior experience in a parts room, warehouse, or automotive/fleet shop environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of truck/automotive parts and safety equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license (required for parts runner backup duties)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift/move parts (up to 50 lbs)
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and admin support
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Pay: $19.50-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
