The Supervisor will participate in, and contribute to, the development, implementation, operation,



and evaluation of community -based and in-house treatment programs. They will use their experience and expertise to ensure that a client centered philosophy and approach is maintained, enhanced, and integrated into the development, provision and support of programs and services. The Supervisor will focus on identifying staff training and development needs and program resources to ensure a high functioning, effective and professional team within a client centered culture.ResponsibilitiesOverviewLead and/or participate in the recruitment process for staff in the unit.Oversee training and orientation of newly hired direct reports.Communicate with staff in a manner that is collaborative and team building in orientation, and firm and fair in direction and follow through.Support staff in problem solving; able to balance staff needs with the needs of clients and those of the organization, prioritize as required.Chair regular staff meetings.Set clear expectations and direction for staff.Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports.Provide clinical and program guidance, coaching, direction, and decision making to direct reports.Contribute to the coordination and evaluation of program services and to the development of new programming as required.Participate in the annual budget and quarterly estimate process and manages costs within allocated budgets.Ensure the effective management of administrative functions including complete and accurate records.Develop and foster partnerships with community partners to create service integrations and streamline referrals for clientsCommunicate respectfully and positively with clients and staff and presents self in an approachable and friendly mannerRespond to staff requests and crises in a responsible, timely and adaptable mannerCommitment to on-going professional development activities and engagement in reciprocal learning experiences with colleagues and direct supervisorCommitment to personal and professional ethics, integrity and responsibilityOther duties as assigned
