Payroll Administrator (Fort St. John, BC)ROLESurerus is looking to hire a Payroll Administrator in our Fort St John office. You'll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Our culture emphasizes continued growth, commitment, and professional development with a challenging and engaging work environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAccurate processing of high-volume payroll on a weekly basis across multiple provincesDaily upload of project and equipment timeAccurate processing of new employees in the payroll systemEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirementsMaintain reconciliations for payroll related accountsSubmit government remittances including Receiver General and garnisheesProcess terminations and issue Record of Employment as requiredManage all documentation related to payroll recordsAssist with documentation of process and procedures related to the roleAssist with special projects as requiredNote:
In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.POSITION REQUIREMENTSQualificationsBusiness Administration diploma or equivalent payroll or business courses are desiredHigh School diploma or equivalentExperience2-5 years of related experienceExperience with Explorer Eclipse software is considered an assetSkills & KnowledgeUnderstanding of relevant legislation including, but not limited to, BC & AB Employment Standards, CRA guidelines, WCB and PIPEDAAbility to maintain confidential informationProficiency with MS Office (strong in Excel), payroll software, and other systemsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDetail oriented, analytical, organized and solid work ethicSelf-motivated, results driven, able to work well under time constraints and meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as a strong desire to learn and ability to work well within a teamWORKING CONDITIONSThis position is based at our Fort St John office with a 5-day work week, 8-hour days. Travel to project sites may be required.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSThe expected salary range for this position is $57,400 - $71,800 annually. We will consider factors including previous experience, education, skills, and internal equity when determining placement within this range. In addition, we provide a discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits package including extended health, dental, life and disability insurance, RRSP matching, and paid time off.We thank all applicants in advance.
